Biotechnology

UMBC has strong academic programs in the life sciences led by a distinguished faculty of nearly fifty members spanning the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. This established academic and research expertise in the biosciences provides a foundation for the following biotechnology programs:

Master in Professional Studies (M.P.S.): Biotechnology
Master of Science in Applied Molecular Biology
Graduate Certificate in Professional Studies: Biotechnology Management
Graduate Certificate in Biochemical Regulatory Engineering
Regulatory Affairs for Biotechnology (non-credit)

Classes are conveniently offered in the evenings at the UMBC Tech Incubator and the UMBC Main Campus, located just five minutes from BWI Airport, with easy access from I-95 and the 695 Beltway.
